ब्रम्हपूरी तालुक्यात दोघांचा बळी घेणारा नरभक्षक वाघ जेरबंद
चंद्रपूर : ब्रम्हपुरी तालुक्यातील तोरगाव परिसरात धुमाकूळ घालून 2 दिवसांत दोघांचा बळी घेणाऱ्या नरभक्षक वाघाला जेरबंद आज रविवारी (1 जानेवारी 2023) ला दुपारी तीन वाजताचे सुमारास करण्यात यश आले आहे. ही कारवाई तोरगाव शेतशिवारात करण्यात आली.
नागभीड तालुक्यातील इरव्हा टेकरी शेतशिवारात वाघाने 30 डिसेंबर रोजी शेतात गवत घेण्याकरीता गेल्या महिलेवर हल्ला करून ठार केले होते. त्यानंतर त्या घटनास्थळापासून अवघ्या 2 किमी अंतरावरील ब्रम्हपुरी तालुक्यातील तोरगाव बुज शेतशिवारात काल शनिवारी (31 डिसेंबर 2022) रोजी 55 वर्षीय सिताबाई सलामे रा. तोरगाव बुज हिला ठार केले होते. अवघ्या दोन दिवसात दोघा महिलांचा या वाघाने बळी घेतला होता. नागभिड व ब्रम्हपूरी तालुक्यातील इरव्हा टेकडी व तोरगाव बुज. परिसरात दहशत माजविणारा वाघ पुन्हा या परिसरात आढळून आला होता. नागरिकांच्या जिवीतास धोका लक्षात घेता, ह्या घटनांच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर ब्रम्हपुरी वनविभागाने या परिसरात ट्रॅप कॅमेरे बसविले होते. वनविभागाचे चंद्रपूर मुख्य वनसंरक्षक लोणकर, ब्रम्हपुरी वनविभागाने उपवनसंरक्षक दिपेश मल्होत्रा यांच्या मार्गदर्शनात शुटर बी.एम. वनकर यांनी अचुक निशाणा साधून वाघाला बेशुद्ध करण्यात आले. त्यांनतर सुरक्षित पिंजऱ्यात जेरबंद करण्यात आले. त्यामुळे नागरिकांनी सुटकेचा नि:श्वास सोडला आहे.
यावेळी सहाय्यक वनसंरक्षक धोंडणे, सहाय्यक वनसंरक्षक चोपडे, ट्रान्झिट ट्रिटमेंट सेंटरचे कुंदन पोटचलवार, उत्तर वनपरिक्षेत्र अधिकारी महेश गायकवाड, क्षेत्र सहाय्यक मिलिंद सेमस्कर, वनरक्षक कागणे, वनरक्षक बडदे व वनविभागाचे कर्मचारी उपस्थित होते.
