राज्यपाल भगतसिंग कोश्यारी यांनी मागितली महाराष्ट्राची माफी
महाराष्ट्राचे राज्यपाल भगतसिंग कोश्यारी यांनी तीन दिवसांपूर्वी एका कार्यक्रमात महाराष्ट्राविषयी वादग्रस्त वक्तव्य केले होते. त्यावर आता भगतसिंह कोश्यारी यांनी माफी मागितली आहे. भगतसिंह कोश्यारी यांच्या वतीने एक निवेदन जारी करण्यात आले आहे. राज्यपालांच्या त्या वक्तव्यानंतर राज्यात प्रचंड मोठी गदारोळ पाहायला मिळाला होता.

29 जुलै रोजी एका सार्वजनिक कार्यक्रमात मुंबईच्या विकासात काही समाजाच्या योगदानाचे कौतुक करण्यात माझ्याकडून काही चूक झाली. केवळ महाराष्ट्रच नाही तर संपूर्ण भारताच्या विकासात प्रत्येकाचे विशेष योगदान आहे. विशेषत: संबंधित राज्याची उदारता आणि सर्वांना बरोबर घेऊन जाण्याच्या उज्ज्वल परंपरेमुळे आज देश प्रगतीकडे वाटचाल करत आहे.
गेल्या तीन वर्षांत मला महाराष्ट्रातील जनतेचे अपार प्रेम मिळाले आहे. महाराष्ट्राचा आणि मराठी भाषेचा आदर वाढवण्याचा मी सर्वतोपरी प्रयत्न केला आहे. पण वरील भाषणात माझ्याकडून चुकून काही चूक झाली असेल तर ही चूक महाराष्ट्रासारख्या महान राज्याचा अवमान मानण्याची कल्पनाही करता येणार नाही. महाराष्ट्राच्या थोर संतांच्या परंपरेतील या विनम्र राज्य सेवकाला क्षमा करून आपण मोठे हृदय दाखवाल.

On July 29, I made a mistake in appreciating the contribution of certain communities in the development of Mumbai at a public function. Everyone has a special contribution in the development of not only Maharashtra but the whole of India. Today the country is moving towards progress especially due to the generosity of the concerned state and the bright tradition of taking everyone along.
In the last three years, I have received immense love from the people of Maharashtra. I have tried my best to increase the respect of Maharashtra and the Marathi language. But if I have accidentally made any mistake in the above speech, it cannot be imagined that this mistake will be considered as an insult to a great state like Maharashtra. You will show a big heart by forgiving this humble state servant in the tradition of great saints of Maharashtra.
