తారోబాలో పులుల సంచారాన్ని ప్రత్యక్షంగా తిలకిస్తున్న పర్యాటకులు

చంద్రపూర్ : మహారాష్ట్ర అడవుల్లో తిరుగుతున్న పులులను కొన్నింటిని తమ రాష్ట్రానికి ఇవ్వాల్సిం దిగా పలు ప్రభుత్వాలు కోరుతు న్నాయి. ఈ కోవలో రాజస్థాన్, తెలంగాణ మరికొన్ని రాష్ట్రాలు ఉన్నాయని అటవీశాఖ లోని ప్రధాన అధికారి ఒకరు ప్రకటించారు. ఈవిషయపై నిర్ణయాన్ని తీసుకునే అధికారం రాష్ట్రప్రభుత్వాలకు  లేదని అది కేవలం నేషనల్ టైగర్ కన్జర్వేషన్ ఆథారిటీ ( ఎన్టీసీఏ NTCA ) కి మాత్రమే ఉందని ఆయన తెలిపారు. 

మహారాష్ట్రలో  అధికారిక లెక్కల ప్రకారం 350 వరకు పులులు ఉన్నాయి. అందులో సగం పులులు ఒక్క మాత్రం చంద్రపూర్ జిల్లాలోనే ఉండడం విశేషం. తాడోబా అభయారణ్యాలలో పులుల సంఖ్య నానాటికీ పెరగడం, పులులు సంచరించేందుకు క్షేత్రం సరి పోక ప్రజాక్షేత్రంలోకి వెళ్లడం, ప్రజల ప్రాణాలు తీయడం, వేటగాళ్లు అదను చూసి పులులపై దాడులు చేయడం లాంటివి యటిసిఎ  గమనిస్తుందన్నారు.

ఈనేపథ్యంలో ఆథారిటీ త్వరలో ఒక నిర్ణయానికి వచ్చే అవ కాశం ఉందన్నారు. 

ఇంతేకాదు... జిల్లాలో చిరుతపులుల సంఖ్య కూడా అధికంగా ఉండటం ఇవికూడా ప్రజల ప్రాణాలు హరిస్తుండడం జిల్లా వాసుల్లో కలకలం రేపుతుంది.


 Demand for Maharashtra tigers


Chandrapur: Several governments have demanded that some of the tigers roaming in the forests of Maharashtra be returned to their state. Rajasthan, Telangana and a few other states are in the crosshairs, a senior official in the forest department said. He said state governments did not have the power to decide on the matter but only the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).

According to official figures, there are up to 350 tigers in Maharashtra. Half of them are in Chandrapur district alone. The YTCA has observed an increase in the number of tigers in the Tadoba sanctuaries, the movement of tigers into the field, killing people and poachers.

The authority is expected to come to a decision soon, he said.
